TV Star Chris Crudelli Comes to Peterborough
March 20, 2009 by goshinman
Thanks for coming back to this site...
TV star Chris Crudelli shares his knowledge with local martial arts students.

Chris Crudelli and a small team from Jiu Fa Men Kung Fu came to the city on the 8th of March to pass on some of his world wide gained martial arts and self defence wisdom during a seminar held at at Peterborough Martial Arts Centre on Wainman Road.
Chris is probably better known for being a TV personality who came to public notice and gained fame as a television star through the Mind, Body & Kick Ass Moves show. A best selling author, internationally acclaimed martial arts teacher & Chinese translator he has studied Chinese martial arts for over 25 years, 10 years living in China training and teaching martial arts alongside the best masters in the world as demonstrated in his BBC, Fox, Discovery, Dave & UKTV shows.(See more at end of this post..)
Master Ian Parker of the Parker’s Serial Kickers club organised the event and Master David Trower of Evolution TKD kindly lent his premises for the afternoon and evening training. This was a limited ticket event which rapidly sold out and 50 martial arts enthusiasts were treated to an interactive seminar of many general components of martial arts plus aspects of Chris Crudelli’s own self-defence system – Jiu Fa Men Kung Fu.
Assisting Chris was Master Jun, Chris’s co-teacher, a highly qualified JFM teacher, former Marine & unarmed combat and martial arts instructor to the South Korean Marine Corps. Also assisting was Instructor Guy Aust from Way Of The Warrior School at Bromley.
Like all good martial arts instructors, Chris and these guys were down to earth in their communication and explanations and very open to questions. After a ’strong’ warm up, training went at a fast pace as they got everybody going through all manner of striking, kicking and take-down methods and ending in knife attacks that opened peoples eyes (not literally) and a session on qigong. One more stretching and cool down and it was generous applause all round.
Chris was pleased with day and said: “It was a privilege to be so warmly welcomed and a pleasure to see the high standard of focus, discipline and skill common to Master Parker’s students and martial friends.”
Master Parker is hopeful of bringing Chris Crudelli and the guys back to the city for a bigger event in the future and said: “To bring such a big TV star to Peterborough to share his knowledge with local martial artists is a massive achievement and everyone here today has gained from it.”
“As well as our students, other top Masters and instructors from across the country attended the event.”
I, for one, am booking my ticket now for the next visit….
