First in is Peter Dunnett for those who are just outside the Peterborough Area over at Bury St Edmunds. Peter runs a group of clubs under the banner of “Combat Kickboxing Academy” (CKA) who train five nights each week plus competing in venues all around the country from Nottingham and Birmingham in the North, including Kent and Surrey in the South and to Reading out to the West.

Karate and Kickboxing Competition.

The time has come for the next Peterborough Championship Series. A Freestyle Karate and Kickboxing competition open to all styles of martial arts
Linked with the Boston Championship Series the competition has gone from strength to strength. Seeing many sudents taking there first steps into the competition circuit and the more experienced fighters showing good skill and control.
The Championship holds four Series throughout the year with fighters gaining points for each catorgory they enter. These points are entered into leagues which are split into the various categories. At the final event of the year trophies will be awarded to the Grand Champions for their achievements throughout the year.
With over 50 categories the series can offer a challenge more suited to your style, grade, weight, etc. We have each category split into two experience sections e.g. colour belts/black belts, juniors/seniors – so everbody has a fair and enjoyable competition. Consisting of Forms/Kata, Light Contact Continuous Sparring, Points/Semi Contact Sparring and our new trial Grappling section there is bound to be a category for you.
Don’t forget the great savings you can benefit from by pre-registering. This can easily be done by downloading our pre-register form.

Does your School/Club have what it takes to win !!This competition will be a friendly local tournament geared towards a fun day for local clubs.
This is an ideal opportunity to introduce new or young students to competiton sparring, or just to give more experience to the regular fighter.
Snacks and refreshments will be available along with a small martial arts equipment stall.

Points will be awards for each fighter
1st place – 25 points, 2nd place 20 points
3rd place – 15 points and all runners up
will be award 5 points for their club or school.
Trophies will be given to 1st,2nd and 3rd place fighters with overall school winner being awarded a special trophy for the day.
