Our Instructors are experienced Martial Artists and are dedicated to giving all students first calss tuition. We are CRB checked through the Traditional Tang Soo Do Association and are constantly seeking to improve our teaching methods. The class training involves strength, stamina, speed and flexibility exercises but we also concentrate largely on developing good technique in order to give the students the best opportunity to become accomplished Martial Artists.
Our classes are suitable for all ages from 8 years to 60+ and are particularly suited to families with their friendly but disciplined approach. It is possible to reach Black Belt with 4 to 5 years of dedicated training and it might then be possible to run your own classes under the guidance of the Senior Instructors.

Systema (“The System”): This is an art of Russian origin, it has no pre-defined moves, kata, rankings, or sport application. It works instead on the basis of the breathing, movement, form and lastly technique.
From wiki “..is a Russian martial art. It is designed to be highly adaptive and practical, training using drills and sparring instead of set kata. It focuses mainly on controlling the six body levers (elbows, neck, knees, waist, ankles, and shoulders) through pressure point application, striking and weapon applications. Systema is often advertised as being a martial art employed by some Russian Spetsnaz units.”
It is common to see “Russian Martial Arts” used, although that can lead to some confusion. Perhaps thinking of the name “Systema” as a similar generic title comparable to “Kung Fu” for the Chinese martial Arts. Most probably, the name Systema could have been taken from the name given in Russia to a similar martial art before that, the Systema Rukopashnogo Boya (System of hand-to-hand combat).

The class runs every Wednesday from 7-9pm
Men and women 18 years and over only.
This is due to nature of training (lots of practise knifework etc)
